What precautions are Benefit Boutiques and BrowBars taking to ensure everyone’s health and safety?

For over 40 years, Benefit Cosmetics has been offering brow & beauty services that meet the very highest safety standards. Today, as the world’s leading employer of licensed aestheticians, we’ve trained our teams to take additional precautionary measures & follow a strict services protocol to make sure every customer’s experience is clean & safe.

Here are the precautions we’re taking. Depending on where you are, these steps may change slightly based on local mandates:

  • Employees and customers may be required to wear masks depending on local mandates
  • All Benefit employees are required to take a self-screening questionnaire and temperature check every day before work
  • All Benefit employees must wash & sanitize their hands before touching anything or every 30 minutes
  • All BrowBar stations & chairs are thoroughly sanitized upon store opening, disinfected every hour, and disinfected again after service using EPA-approved disinfectant.
  • We set up a fresh “sanitary maintenance area” for each client and dispose all used materials after each service. Non-disposable tools such as tweezers & scissors are separated into a clearly labeled after use for proper cleaning All non-disposable tools are washed with warm soapy water, sanitized and placed in barbicide/marvicide for disinfection. Before use, they are disinfected again, using alcohol.
  • Service clients may be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test depending on local mandates.

What is Brow Lamination?

Benefit’s Brow Lamination service uses a simple solution that sets and straightens brows, so they can be easily repositioned into a full, lifted shape! Lamination lifts brows vertically, filling in gaps to give an illusion of fullness. All you have to do is sit back and let Benefit beautify those brows!

What does the Brow Lamination service entail?

First, during Brow Mapping, we brush your brow hairs up to show you exactly what your Brow Lamination will look like, and then settle on your desired shape.

During the Brow Lamination service, we relax, reposition and condition brows, then lock brows into the full, lifted shape you chose during Brow Mapping.

Brow Shaping is included in this service, so we wax, thread, tweeze, and/or trim brows so you can be sure you get the shape you want!

Lastly, we have a short consultation on how to style your newly laminated brows.

How do I prepare for my Brow Lamination service?

Please come in with clean, dry, makeup-free brows if possible! It’s also important to consider the following:

    You should NOT be currently using:
  • Retin A, Retinol, vitamin A
  • Roaccutane
  • Antibiotics
  • Benzoyl Peroxide (clinical grade)
    You have NOT had one of these treatments in the last month:
  • Laser peel
  • Phenol peel
  • Microdermabrasion (professional grade)
  • Any other kind of peel
    You have NOT done the following within the last 6 months
  • Used Accutane
  • Had eye surgery
  • Had a brow tattoo
  • Microbladed your brows

If you’ve used any of these products or had any of these services pre-Brow Lamination, risks could include sensitivity or reactions to skin, and they may affect the outcome of the service. We suggest scheduling your service after taking the above into consideration.

How long is the Brow Lamination appointment?

The appointment lasts up to 40 minutes depending on your hair texture, so we can get those beautiful brows just right!

How long do Brow Lamination results last?

Brow Lamination results last up to 6 weeks!

What do I do for Brow Lamination aftercare?
    For the first 24 hours:
  • DO NOT wet or rub your eyebrows.
    After 24 hours:
  • DO use a hydrating oil on your brows daily for optimal shine & hydration.
  • DO set your brows each day with a clear brow gel, like 24-HR Brow Setter.
  • DO continue using your favorite brow products.
  • DO embrace your new full, lifted brow shape!
How should I prepare for my upcoming beauty service?
  • Brow Lamination services: If you have allergies to hair dye or perming solutions, you must have a 24-hour skin test before receiving a brow lamination service. To have a skin test for lamination services, stop by your local Macy’s BrowBar. An appointment is not required.

I’m running late. What’s your late policy?

We do our best to accommodate everyone. Keep in mind that we may need to reschedule your appointment to the next available time if you are more than 5 minutes late.

What age do I need to be to receive a beauty service?

We love Benebabes of all ages! Clients who are 17 years and under must have a parent or guardian present at the time of the appointment to give consent for the service.

What if I need to move my appointment?

Plans change! You can cancel your existing appointment any of the following ways:

  • Via text or email, if opted in to receive appointment notifications
  • Online through your account

Once you have canceled your existing appointment, you will be asked if you’d like to book a new one.

I’d like to see the aesthie I saw last time. Can I view my past appointment details?

Sure! You can view past appointment details, rebook past services, and manage notification preferences by creating an account and logging in to book.

How do I create an account?

To create an account, either…

  • Book an appointment and create a password on the last step
  • On the homepage, scroll down below the location menu and click
  • The next time you come to book, login using the username and password you created!
What if I forget my password?

Click below the sign in button and you will be emailed a password reset link.

I didn’t receive my appointment confirmation email...where is it?

If you are having issues receiving appointment-related emails, please check your junk folder just to be safe. Then, log into your account to manage your notification preferences. If you’re still not sure, give the Macy’s BrowBar a call to confirm that your appointment is on the books.

I don’t live near a Benefit BrowBar at Macy’s but my brows could use some love. Where can I get a beauty service done?

We offer beauty services to Benebabes all over the world! Visit our store locator tto find the nearest Benefit Boutique or BrowBar.

Do you have a loyalty program?

Yes! PinkPerks is our new loyalty program, offered exclusively in select Benefit BrowBars in Macy’s, where each Brow Wax, Thread or Lamination & Shape = 1 stamp that gets you closer to a reward! Receive a FREE upgrade (Eye Mask, Lip, Chin or Sides Wax or Thread) during your 3rd Brow service. Receive a FREE Brow Wax or Thread during your 6th Brow Service.

What services are eligible to collect a PinkPerks stamp?

All services that include a brow wax or thread will qualify towards a PinkPerks stamp, including: Brow Wax, Brow & Lip Wax, Brow Thread, Brow & Lip Thread, Brow Tweeze, and Brow Lamination & Shape.

How do I join PinkPerks?

Just book online and come in for a Brow service. Don’t forget to opt in for marketing emails and SMS messages to learn more about the program!

Where is PinkPerks available?

PinkPerks is offered at all Macy’s Benefit BrowBar locations!

How do I check my PinkPerks status?

When booking online, you’ll see how close you are to your next PinkPerks reward in your confirmation email and text. You can also ask your aesthetician during your visit, or review your status in your account online.

When can I redeem my PinkPerks reward?

You can redeem your FREE upgrade during your 3rd eligible visit and your FREE Brow Wax or Thread during your 6th eligible visit. No need to book the appointment differently, your aesthetician will be notified of your reward status when you check in for your appointment.
